Measuring in at just over a half-inch thick and just under 3lbs, the Acer Aspire S3 ushers in the era of the official, Intel-supported Ultrabook, meant to compete against the likes of the MacBook Air.
Equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor, the $900 (roughly £575) S3 has a 13-inch, 1366×768 display, four gigabytes of RAM, and your choice of a 20 gigabyte SSD or a 320 gigabyte HDD. In addition, the battery is designed to get users through 6 hours without recharging and can wake from a deep sleep in under six seconds.
The Acer Aspire will be available starting this week. [Acer]

a 20gb SSD? is this a typo?
20Gb SSD?! Whaaaat?
by my calculations £630 would be a reasonable amount for this over here (£525 + 20% VAT) what’s the betting it ends up around £800 though?
NEarer to £900 I think.
