Klingon Helps Man Battle Dyslexia

By Sam Gibbs on at

Star Trek has given us many an interesting thing. Klingon is one of them. Who'd have thought that a fictional language could actually help people?

As crazy as it sounds, Jonathan Brown from just outside Milton Keynes has used the grunting dialect to get over his dyslexia. After 12 years of studying, becoming a master, a Klingon word-warrior and producing Klingon language learning CDs -- move over Rosetta Stone! -- Brown realised that having to translate the words enabled him to read them and recall them, clearing his 'name blindness'.
