London Murder Map Says... Move To Devon

By Gary Cutlack on at

The Guardian has put together a grim visual map showing the last five years of London's murders, grouped together by borough. You don't hear Kirstie and Phil mentioning this when showing young couples around up-and-coming leafy parts of Camberwell.

Compiled using the most recent data from the Met Police, the graphs and maps have been put together using Google Fusion Tables -- a new cloud-based Google Labs app designed to let multiple users access and use large data files.

You can play with the data and download the raw spreadsheets here, pulling out your own fascinating conclusions about the worst places to live. [Guardian]
