What magic HTC has employed when creating the HTC Titan, we'll never know. Despite it fronting up a mammoth 4.7-inch screen, it's still only 9.9mm thick. Sorry -- 9.9mm thin. We suspect nimble-fingered elf-labour, but can't be sure. And how they squeezed a whole frickin' mango inside that brushed aluminium case, well -- that's one for the Food Standards Agency, that is.
Don't worry -- no mangoes were bruised in the making of the HTC Titan, which is simply running the latest version of Windows Phone 7, known as 'Mango.' If you're not familiar with what this recent software update brings to the table, you're in for a treat -- visual search lets you scan barcodes for easy price comparison; integrated group chat will keep your social diary chockablock with upcoming meet-ups, and multi-tasking runs smoothly on HTC's 1.5GHz processor and 512MB of RAM.
More of a gamer than a group-messager? Games such as Kinectimals Mobile and Farm Frenzy 2 look great on that glossy 4.7-inch screen, which benefits from a 480 x 800 resolution. A 1.3-megapixel camera has been strapped to its face for video-chat, but turn 'er 'round, and there's an 8-megapixel camera with a dual LED flash. All the better to see your mango-filled smile with, you could say.
On sale this November, the HTC Titan will be available on UK networks to anyone who wants to supersize their web-browsing; emailing; gaming and media-watching. Oh, and phone calls. Despite all of the aforementioned features, you'll still be able to make and receive phone calls. HTC's thought of everything. [HTC Titan]
