Netflix Crossing the Pond to the UK in Early 2012

By Sam Gibbs on at

That's right folks, it looks like we'll be getting a slice of the streaming bonanza that is Netflix early next year. Both the UK and Ireland will see the roll out, while you can already sign up to be notified when live.

That's about all we know for the time being, with Netflix only saying:

"Further details about the service, including pricing, content and supported devices, will be announced closer to launch."

Considering Netflix is supported on almost every device under the sun in the US, you should be able to get Netflix via a variety of different devices when it lands here. Will Netflix finally make the Apple TV useful in the UK? Will we get everything the Netflix library has to offer? Will the streaming giant kill off our very own LoveFilm? Who knows, but hopefully you won't have long to wait. [TechRadar]
