Samsung is holding an event next week in San Diego and the star of the show is rumored to be the Nexus Prime. Coming along for the ride may be Google which could use this event to launch Android 4.0.
The Android Developer’s YouTube Channel posted and then pulled down an “Android ICS launch” event video that’ll go live in five days. ICS is short for Ice Cream Sandwich and the October 11th date coincidences with the Samsung Unpacked event.
A dual announcement like this is not surprising. The Nexus Prime is shaping up to be a monster of a phone and Google would be foolish not to showcase its new OS along with this smashing piece of hardware. [CNET]

I think by now it’s pretty much a given. The Samsung Unpacked Event (part of a series) is labeled the “Google Episode”. The “Something big is Coming” teaser trailer (that shows things that go well together) features Samsung Blue and Android Green Backgrounds. The spec rumors are going bananas and I CAN’T WAIT.
I’m guessing that the ICS dev tools will be released for download that day (and possibly the source released), with the phone following in 1-2 weeks in the US and a week later here.
