Prime Minister Awkwardly Jumps on LinkedIn and Foursquare Bandwagons

By Gary Cutlack on at

David Cameron is just like a normal person. He's exactly like one of us, he is. The PM has announced he's signed up to social sites Foursquare and LinkedIn, because that's what normal people like us do.

According to the PM's office, the move shows that Number 10 is able to "engage further with citizens and businesses using digital communications" -- although, with Cameron using Foursquare to check-in at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, he has a pretty unfair advantage over us common folk when it comes to bagging impressive mayoral achievements.

Cameron currently has 52 connections listed on his LinkedIn profile, which will increase as the PM and his team add the details of people and businesses he meets as part of his day job.

Poor David. Even when he has Bran Flakes for breakfast it looks like a PR stunt to show how he "eats just like a normal person." [Number 10 via TechCrunch]
