Shun Rupert Murdoch But Still Get Sky VOD Courtesy of Virgin Media

By Sam Gibbs on at

You'd like to get Sky VOD for catching up on programs like America's Next Top Model and Signed By Katie Price*, but hate the dish, Murdoch or the BT line? Virgin's got you covered with the addition of Sky Anytime to its service.

Let's face it, if you're after the latest American TV shows or just want to catch up on the weekend's Arsenal game you're going to be tied to Sky some how. Yes you can get Sky Sports, Movies and Sky 1 through Virgin's ordinary subscription packages, and yes you can record them using your TiVo, but where's the fun in that?

XL TV package subscribers will be able to get in on the on-demand action soon, with M+ TV watchers bestowed with it sometime in early 2012, because of course they're not big spenders and therefore less of a priority. Still, it's free and 'a range' of Sky's content will also feature on the online Virgin Media Player so you won't be tied to your TV. [Pocket-lint]
