I assume the partnership only started because Sony needed an “in” to the mobile phone world. Now I guess they want the added control and brand coherence of going it alone.
And plus in the UK especially Ericsson have a shitty history on their own.
They had their own phone line before partnering with Ericsson. Can’t find them with the Googles but a mate of mine had one. Worked pretty good.
I’m currently using a 5 year old sony ericsson phone that is still going strong. I’ve been meaning to replace it for ages!
Please tell me I wasn’t the only one who didn’t realise Sony Ericsson wasn’t just the brand name of Sony’s mobile products?
