Why Siri Won't Work Properly in the UK Today

By Gary Cutlack on at

One question UK iPhone 4S buyers may be asking Siri today is: "Hey Siri, why don't you work as well as you did in Apple's trailers?" -- because the magical voice controlled maps and places queries are currently US only.

Sadly, this is nothing as hilarious as the app failing to understand our stupid local accents. Apple simply hasn't yet acquired any local business data partners for the UK market, so poor Siri simply doesn't know where's a good place to get a kebab and a massage at 3.45am in Poplar.

If you're still after an iPhone 4S despite this minuscule expectations downgrade, here's where to find one today. [Electricpig]
