The Verge has a photo of what looks like a Porsche Design BlackBerry slapped with a large all-encompassing touchscreen. The device supposedly replaces the ‘Colt‘ as the first BBX-equipped smartphone to come out of Waterloo, Canada.
The London is rumoured for a June/Q3 2012 release, so we’re not talking any time soon here. But the device is supposedly packing a TI OMAP dual-core chip at its heart, clipping along at 1.5GHz. It’ll also have 1GB of RAM, 16GB of flash storage and two shooters: one 8MP on the back and one 2MP front-facing. Not bad specs for right now, but for Q3 next year, who knows. Lets hope whatever RIM does with its QNX-based BBX, it handles touchscreen input better than BlackBerry OS. [The Verge, BGR]

Does it have email app or is it coming in a few months?
You’ll probably be able to use it’s Android emulation capabilities to run an Android e-mail app in the meantime, assuming that’s not delayed too.
Or you can tether it to your your old Blackberry and get emails that way.
Or you could buy any of the vast number of better phones that have a Mail app out the box…seriously!
Octagonal corners were an interesting choice. I can’t help but feel reminded of this though: http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2011/12/the-shit-tablet-apple-thinks-samsung-must-make/
