British Universities Embrace Ethical Hacking

By Sam Gibbs on at

Coventry University has just joined the likes of Northumbria University, Abertay University in Dundee and City University in London, with its first ethical hacking course. A £37,000 'Ethical Hacking Lab' aims to provide l33t hacker skills to the next generation.

The unveiling comes as London successfully hosted a two-day global conference focussed on cyber crime and prevention. The UK is attempting to prepare and position itself as an expert in the field with increased spending in the cyber crime realm. It's good to see British universities offering some forward thinking courses and less of the tosh like David Beckham studies. [MacWorld UK]
