LG’s long-running partnership with fashion people Prada will continue in 2012, with both companies announcing a renewed friendship — and revealing the above sketch of a future Prada branded smartphone.
The phone is officially known as the PRADA Phone by LG 3.0, with the concept sketches showing us a pretty standard modern black slab of a phone made a little more fashionable thanks to rounded sides and, well, the Prada logo. There’s no mention of the software, but given LG’s current hobby of releasing a new Android every fortnight or so, it’s a pretty safe bet it’ll arrive running Google’s OS.
And while LG’s mobile division is floundering a little these days, it’s worth remembering that the company’s original Prada was a really rather impressive touchscreen phone with a 3″ capacitive display, before such technology became the norm.
But can the LG of 2011 can recreate those early successes? [LG]

The sketches look a bit like the Lumia 800.
Looks like an iPhone.
The iPhone originally looked like the first LG Prada, released Dec 2006.
And once again, only so many ways you can design a black slab of plastic and metal.
If anything the iPhone 4 looks more like a skinny original LG Prada, even down to the metal strip around the edge.
Haha, clearly the jokey tone of my comment clearly didn’t come across too well
Oh…my…god! When will it die already? No LG, we don’t need your Prada phone…just..go away!!
