Malware Disguised as iTunes Gift Voucher Darkens Black Friday

By Gary Cutlack on at

Some very topical internet fraudsters have been using last week's Black Friday global discount mayhem to help spread malware, by claiming an email attachment contains free gift vouchers for iTunes.

Obviously it doesn't. The ZIP file users are asked to open in order to find their "certificate code" for the $50 iTunes credit contains the significantly less festive Mal/BredoZp-B tool, which, slightly ironically, will only infect Windows PCs. [Eleven via Telegraph]
