Sorry folks, if you were one of the few people that were interested in Samsung’s Bada platform on a tablet — you’re not going to get it in the UK, at least within the near future.
Talking to our friends over at TechRadar, Samsung’s head of content, Keith O’Brien, said:
“[Bada on a tablet is] not on the agenda for now, at least not as far as the UK is concerned.”
Samsung is however, “absolutely committed” to Bada, it “just so happens that Android is the OS of the day”. Quite right too; I can’t see much interest in another mobile operating system, especially on tablets. We’ve already got three pretty well established mobile OSes for tablets with iOS, Android, and BlackBerry OS. OK, maybe calling BlackBerry tablet OS, aka QNX, an established OS is a bit of a stretch, but you get the picture. Is anyone really interested in Bada on a smartphone, let alone a tablet? [TechRadar]

Samsung are playing a smart game by keeping Bada in development. HTC has a similar thing but I can’t remember what its called. That way if Android every becomes something they don’t wan’t to use (Unlikely, but possible) they have something to fall back on.
i am waiting too see where windows 8 is going on tablets, i rather fancy a samsung tablet running a buttery smooth version of windows(perhaps i am a little crazy for that statement)
i feel if not underpowered, and not overpriced, it could actually be a real alternative to a laptop
