It’s not too long until we can quit glaring enviously at our Yankee counterparts over their super-fast 4G speeds. While 4G won’t be available to Joe Blow on the street until 2013 (or later), O2 is embarking on the first trials in London — and Giz UK readers have an exclusive opportunity to help the network during a three-month-long period.
While 4G speeds have been tested in other parts of the country, most notably in Cornwall by Orange and O2 in Slough, this is the first time the capital has had 4G masts erected, with over 25 being strung up in an area of 40-square kilometres. The trial will run until June 2012, and will use the 2.6GHz spectrum band; something Ofcom has approved in light of next year’s 4G spectrum auction.
Excitingly, Giz UK has teamed up with O2 as their exclusive media partner for the trials, and as promised, you — yes, you! — can help. We’ll be giving away up to 30 dongles which support speeds of up to 100Mbps, with starred commenters being at the front of the queue.
Before you start planning your “working from home” days to “test” the speeds in the comfort of your own pants, hear this: the network will span most of central London, but doesn’t cover the suburban bits most Londoners live in. Those living and working around Soho, Westminster, King’s Cross or Canary Wharf will benefit from the super-fast speeds, but only if they have one of O2′s mobile broadband dongles, which have been loaned to the network by Samsung.
More details on how our London-based readers will have a chance to test the network and give O2 invaluable feedback via a readers’ panel will be coming shortly, but I can confirm it involves a.) a Giz UK launch party at the O2 Lounge, and b.) free drinks.
For more information on O2′s 4G trials, check out their site here or the press release below; otherwise keep all eyes glued to this here site.

O2 brings superfast 4G to London
UK’s largest LTE trial network launches to explore the technology before national introduction
O2 today will switch on the first 4G (or LTE – Long Term Evolution) network in the capital, offering a unique glimpse into the future of superfast mobile broadband. The trial, which will run for the next nine months, will see O2 equip hundreds of consumers, businesses and venue owners with the latest 4G technology and give exclusive access to the first and largest urban 4G network in the UK.
Over 25 4G sites will go live across London this month, covering a combined area of 40 square kilometres, between now and summer 2012.The network will stretch from Hyde Park to The O2 in Greenwich and has been carefully designed to cover key areas of the capital, including Canary Wharf, Soho, Westminster, South Bank and Kings Cross.
The network will enable O2 to provide a mobile internet experience comparable to the fastest landline fibre home broadband connections, unlocking a wealth of services including high speed corporate LAN access, high-definition film and music streaming, mobile online gaming and high-speed access to social networks. At these speeds, the time to download a 500MB file could be as fast as under one minute, compared to over 5 minutes on 3G.
Ronan Dunne, Chief Executive Officer of Telefónica UK (O2), said: “Today’s launch of the UK’s first 4G London trial network demonstrates our commitment to delivering 4G to our customers at the earliest opportunity. The work we are doing now will lay the foundations for our commercial 4G network when it launches in the UK.”
O2 will provide trialists with Samsung B3730 mobile broadband dongles, supporting speeds of up to 100Mbps, and well as 4G personal wireless hotspots and handsets from a number of other vendors. Over 1000 individuals are expected to take part. Among those involved in the trial are a number of exclusive partners, including:
BUSINESSES
• John Lewis – the leading retailer, John Lewis, is one of O2’s largest corporate customers to be signed to the trial to pilot the benefits of 4G internally and explore the impact it will have on its operations
INDUSTRY BODIES
• The IET – the Institution of Engineering and Technology, with offices at Savoy Place, has joined O2’s efforts to demonstrate 4G capability amongst its membership
SMALL BUSINESSES
• Enterprise Nation – Emma Jones, founder and CEO of Enterprise Nation and co-founder of StartUp Britain, has joined the trial to share the 4G experience through her workshops with those individuals who she aims to help ‘start a business and grow a successful venture’
MUSIC FANS
• The O2 – with its own dedicated 4G internal and external sites providing coverage to The O2 Arena and surrounding area, The O2 will play host to 4G live music video and film streaming demonstrations at the O2 Lounge and O2 Store, for both O2 customers and visitors to enjoy
TECH LOVERS
• Gizmodo UK – readers of the recently launched Gizmodo UK are to be recruited on the trial for a period of three months. They will be selected at a private Gizmodo UK 4G launch party at The O2, and will be invited to provide feedback and content to the site via a reader’s panel
Real-time network performance data, combined with anecdotal feedback from customers, will be collected throughout the trial. The results will be used to influence and shape O2’s plans for the commercial implementation of its forthcoming 4G network, following Ofcom’s 4G spectrum auction, which is expected to take place in 2012.
The O2 4G trial will use the 2.6GHz spectrum band under a Test and Development licence granted to O2 by OFCOM, and is an extension of O2’s earlier 4G trials in Slough that have been running since 2009. The 2.6GHz band supports the maximum 20MHz RF bandwidth for LTE, which allows 4G speeds of up to 150Mbps.
“O2 has been at the heart of the mobile data explosion over the last three years and our priority has always been to build ahead of the curve,” continued Ronan Dunne. “Our work in London will give us a better understanding of the capabilities of 4G technology and will allow us to explore the superfast benefits it will bring to people and industry across the UK. This 4G trial is the next step on our journey to a smarter network – a network that offers a seamless, connected experience across multiple devices, locations and services.
“The forthcoming spectrum auction is a watershed moment for the UK mobile industry, which will see the release of the airwaves capable of powering a whole range of exciting next-generation mobile services. We are actively engaged in the auction and are supportive of a fair process that meets the Government’s and Ofcom’s planned timeline.”
Editor of Gizmodo UK, Kat Hannaford, said, “O2′s 4G trial spells great news for the UK and we’re thrilled that readers of our site, launched late September, will be amongst the first in the UK to benefit from these super-fast speeds, helping to test O2’s network. While we still have several years before 4G networks are available to consumers, this is a big step-forward for the industry and an exciting development for the UK’s capital.”
Telefónica UK’s 4G trial network has been deployed using equipment supplied by Nokia Siemens Networks for both the Radio and Core network elements. Backhaul for the 4G trial network has been provided using Microwave Radio Equipment from Cambridge Broadband Networks Limited, NEC and Nokia Siemens Networks.
The trial in London is now live and will run until June 2012.”

Stretching and Flexibility: Olympian Advice For Lazy Giz Readers
Which Giz UK Readers Won Those Nine Lomography Cameras?
Does This Typeface Truly Help Dyslexic Readers Read?
My home broadband connection is 0.1 MB/s and now O2 have dongles which can get speeds up to 1000 times faster than that?! I hate BT.
As I no longer live or work in London (Thank the FSM) I am not eligible for this, but I hope that doesn’t mean I can’t come to the party.
Hopefully no one here is going to grumble about this trial being limited to Londoners. To my mind it makes sense to test it in a major city, since many of the problems a phone signal has are present there as well as the largest number of users who will be willing to pay the (inevitable) extra charge for the extra speed.
I’m going to be jealous of those who get this, but I’m really happy for Giz UK, this publicity will drive people to the site in a big way. Congratulation Kat.
Thanks Darrell! And yes, I hope you can definitely come to the party — we’ll be announcing full details this week. And don’t worry about not being able to take part in the trials; the party will naturally have heaps of 4G demos for you to try out yourself. Just don’t download anything illegal, mmmkay?
MMMMMM, Free alcohol & tech demo’s. Sounds like my kind of party.
Does that mean I could do a “sponsored not-downloading-pirated-stuff-on-the-stupidly-fast-broadband-I’ve-been-given” event over the course of the trial and raise a literal TON of money for good causes. The self control that would require would be immense.
Hello again Kat, I don’t live in London but do work there, though I fear it is the wrong area to justify a dongle, for shame. But like Darrell, I too would love to come to the party if open to non-testing GizUK supporters!
PS. I have written to Father Christmas saying I’ve been a very good and helpful boy this year, I have forgone my usual requests for iPads, Galaxy S II’s and such, I have even forgone my traditional request for my two front teeth. This year, all I want for christmas is a lovely Golden Star to put atop my metaphorical Christmas tree to compliment my Giz US and other Gawker Stars!
Hey Spatchmo, even if you don’t live in London and can’t partake in the trial, we’d still love you to come along to our little shindig. We’ll be announcing details of the party in the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled!
I know how you feel. I’ve moved down to Devon, so I’m a bit gutted about not being able to try this as well. On the other hand, almost everywhere I go has wi-fi, and most of my devices are wi-fi enabled.
Awesome news, Kat. We’ve been watching networks around the world roll out 4G infront of our eyes, in fact, we run a startup (OpenSignalMaps) which does just that so it will be fantastic to try out 4G in London.
In fact, we’ve so far discovered 4G networks in at least 13 different countries worldwide across 23 different mobile networks so its about time a UK network operator stepped up to the plate!
Bring. This. On.
Cannot wait for some 4G speeds to come over here, its about time! Congratulations to o2 for taking the initiative.
That’s pretty cool. Well done Giz UK!
*lives in Manchester*
*haz a sad*
I wonder if this will work with GiffGaff sims (which piggyback the O2 network)?
Unlikely to start with at least. With O2 having to pump money into it to upgrade both towers and backhaul, I’d be extremely surprised if they didn’t hold it as O2-exclusive and prevent MVNOs from jumping on the bandwagon. Apart from anything, MVNOs would have to cough up a lot more for the wholesale network units for 4G than they would for 2 and 3G, so I doubt someone like GiffGaff would be up for it anyway. Could be wrong, but I think you’ll be out of luck come 2013-2014.
Hmmm, Theoretically if O2 charge resellers the same as it costs them for bandwidth (which would include a % for tower construction/maintainence) then they are not loosing out financially. I assume resellers can charge less for the product as they offer less support and don’t have expensive shops to pay for.
I agree that O2 will however wan’t to keep this for themselves for a while as being available cheaper elsewhere ‘devalues’ the product.
Excellent news , I’m looking forward to the new breed of phones this will usher in . People complain about us not having 4g and go on about the USA.
However from what i’ve heard the first gen of LTE chipsets are battery hogs and after the rose tint has worn off alot of Tech Pundits are saying wait for the next gen, which will be smaller , less power hungry and faster so in this case being slow on the uptake may prove a good move
If it means anything to you, our pre-production 4G USB modems generate an absolute butt-load of heat. I know they’re not designed to be energy efficient like a chipset in a phone would have to be, but if the phone chipsets generates anywhere near that much heat, it’s no wonder it sucks battery faster than a suckling piglet.
OK sounds like a law suit ready to happen when it drops out into someone’s lap
.
On a semi serious note that matches what i’m hearing so not much has changed yet .. fingers crossed on lunch day its at least coated in the stuff the space shuttle had on its underside (NASA need to do something with the tiles now)
Dang, if only they stretched it out towards West London I could’ve joined in.
I live in London and would love to take part! Long time reader of Gizmodo (including the UK version that inexplicitly ceased about three years ago), but previously have been too shy to post. I hope that doesn’t disqualify me!
Glad to have you on board, Vence04. Keep your eyes peeled for details of our launch party, but if you *really* want to secure your chances of winning a dongle trial, get busy commenting and hope that you get starred by a fellow commenter (or rack up 20 “likes” across your comments, and instantly win a star that way.)
I am new as well here but have been a very long time reader of Gizmodo.
So how do I get a star if I can neither be funny, witty or clever in my comments?
Have you considered begging?
I’ve tried, No luck so far – well I’ve scored three likes, which I can’t protest about too hard, but sheesh! This is really is an exclusive group.
Your reticence will work against you as starred commenters will be at the front of the queue. Time to break out the wit and charm and earn the likes needed to get that star.
Dang, Kat obviously posted while I was still writing.
Ok all, seems like I have to come up with something more. I can actually see the O2 from my window so how about I throw an afterparty for all you awesome people?
3 conditions:
1. I really need that star
2. Would be good if I am actually at the party
3. Not essential but you need to know how to swim if we miss the last tube
Free booze and all will be provided
Please…?
“Will do [insert desired service] for a star on Gizmodo”
You’ve already got at least one “like” against your name, so just need another 19 to get a star. Or, say something so witty and/or profound that our dear starred commenters can’t help but automatically gift you a star. Godspeed, good sir!
Star me!!!!
Sad face I’m stuck in swindon GAH ah well hope it is a good party
Does Gizmodo UK is Awesome count as Profound?!?
I wish i was starred.
I live in Rotherhite, which is spitting distance from Canary Wharf across the river and it’s in the middle of what can only be described at a Broadband black hole. The nearest exchange is Bermondsey, which has poor speeds to the area.
I was excited that BT infinity was supposed to be rolled out in December 2011 but this seems to have recently pushed back to December 2012, which may have something to do with the lack of CAB’s in the area.
It’s shocking that i can live so close to a major commercial area, but get worse broadband than my folks who live out in the middle of nowhere.
It might be that i ditch my home broadband and rely on 4G in the future.
There are two ways to get starred (and potentially get you out of that black hole):
1.) Comment more, and hope that other readers “like” your comments 20 times to automatically win a star.
2.) Write an absolutely splendiferous comment that a fellow starred-commenter has no option but to automatically star you for.
Good luck!
I’d rather have a better broadband connection than a star!
Thanks for the tips
But in this case getting a star might get you better broadband.
This is almost worth a move to London. For the party i mean!
Nothing’s worth moving to London ( I live in Surrey ) but I have been waiting for decent data speeds on mobiles for ages…..much more important to me than the latest mobile phone on the block is a network capability to provide us with truly mobile broadband.
I cringe when I have to look at something on my mobile because I know if I rely on 3G I’m going to loose minutes of my life waiting.
I hear ya, but i live in the Midlands and i often turn off wireless on my phone at home and only use 3G. This is partly down to my router being an annoying child, but its comforting to know that my 3G is capable of handling my needs.
Throw a sickie the next day, and have an overnight’s stay in London for the shindig. You could try and kid your mum/wife/boss that it’s so you can do some Chrimbo shopping…
Do i have to tell all three? Im not sure mum will care that much to be honest.
Probably safest
Quick question, How will dongle distribution be decided? I suggest a fight to the death with all possible contenders in the ring at the same time. This will bring in a social networking aspect as you are more likely to team up with your friends against everyone else. The rest of us can just stand around cheering and wagering our quatloos.
Boat race?
On the Thames?, at night? I would have thought you wanted at least some survivors.
But maybe that is their real plan – they’ll ‘give’ them to their readers but if through some tragic accident at the giveaway there are no survivors in the required area, then they will just have to do the decent thing and give O2 feedback by taking the dongles themselves……
I like your thinking, Udimion.
Hey guys, I actually live and work in Canary Wharf which looks like one of the catchment areas so I can help
I have been waiting for UK operators to start rolling out LTE and cannot believe O2 are actually rolling out the trials!
I was just reading about this on the BBC site and spent a good few minutes trying to find out how to participate. It’s awesome that Giz is involved and as I work within the coverage zone and live very close to it I’d love to try it out.
Would be interested in being part of this test and am running a start-up in city area. And now I can stop lurking and start posting. Well done to O2 for being smart and partnering with Gizmodo UK.
Would love to take part in the trials! I notice it extends to the o2 – I live in Greenwich so fingers crossed i get the star.
Is anyone aware of any Ofcom plans to regulate where LTE is initially deployed in the UK? I know that in Germany, for example, the regulator has insisted operators deploy in rural areas to begin with, meaning the big cities have a longer wait to get the LTE services.
Sweet, thats the most comments ever observed on Giz UK
As i do not live in London, i hope 4G turns out exiting enough to be available in Cardiff as well.
Our current commenting record-holder stands at 348, I’ll have you know
http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2011/09/welcome-to-gizmodo-uk-limeys/
Make that 349
No comment lol
WOW! i wanna be apart of it!!!
I’d like to see what their ‘fair-use’ and pricing structures are like if/when this gets released.
If you have to ask you can’t afford it…
4G testing, seems like a nice plan for driving while browsing, downloading and streaming to put it through its paces, count me in, even if i dont get selected ill be by the sidelines watching
out of context, why is the browse happy website given by gizmodo in the admin menu do not have facebook ratings for safari, http://browsehappy.com/ ( discrimination much?)
I want this sooo bad! I think i’m eligible as i’m staying oppositet he royal courts of justice! I’ll get the likes, i need to!
Really looking forward to the trial! (and hoping to be part of it of course)
If home connections are often only 5MB/s especially in the country, it strikes me that mobile connections are becoming so fast that we may move away from BT and their monopoly on cables
- of course there would be reliability issues to overcome, but in the long term moving to wireless only access for home, office and mobile usage seems to be the way forward!
Just been told by Virgin its “Now Cost effective” to run a cable to my flat (in central london) and BT cant yet offer me Infinity! A trial of O2 4G would make my day! Where do I sign up?
At last 4G is coming to the UK it’s about time that we caught up with the rest of the world
My internet connection is very slow in Canary Wharf. I want to participate the 4G trial and hope to abandon the BT line soon.
Hi,
Im very interested in getting on this trial. I currently live and work in the Westminster/ Soho area and I already use a wireless dongle from 3 as my primary source of internet at home. ( I’m even able to game on it thanks to good speeds in central London)
So I wondered if there is more I can do to help my chances? Thanks
Hey there — all you can do to improve your chances of getting a star (thus getting at the front of the queue for the dongle trial) is to either collect 20 “likes” on your various comments across the site (I see you already have one!), or say something so witty and/or profound that a starred commenter can’t help but award you a star on the spot. Good luck!
Profound eh? Does a terrible Haiku count?
coming cold winter
the london public have need
a 4G upgrade
…Don’t quit my day job?
yes, yes a terrible Haiku does count Fly my freshly starred commenter fly and make Giz proud. *star*
whoa, really, just by scrawling a bunch of junk you award stars. Wel Jel!
Would love to get in on this too. Live in Canary Wharf and the broadband here is *pants*!
On a serious note, I think Central Londoners really suffer when it comes to broadband speeds – presumably as it’s too difficult to upgrade the infrastructure. Those outside London have access to Virgin and BT fibre… lucky!
I agree – the only broadband available in Canary Wharf is terrible IP stream from BT resellers “up to 8Mbps” which is pants by today’s standards… It is unusable in the evenings. Every time I try to stream a video, I want to throw my macbook out of the window.
I run a youth club near Canary Wharf (two actually) and when we get 3 or more kids on the computers, I’m lucky if I can check emails. I normally end up tethering (o2 mobile), which has always been reliable. The other place is across the water from the o2, slower speeds on broadband, again with the tethering. BT are shite.
I remember being told as a kid growing up here that the docklands development included all this fancy high tech communications networking, although it seems this was just for the financial powerhouses as all our kids get crap broadband at home.
So… my real point is that if mobile broadband becomes better it could provide much needed broadband access to remote far flung locations such as East London and do away with waiting for BT
Haha I need some extra likes now! I really want 4G/LTE!
Ooh, that sounds nice. While my BB at home is at a respectable speed, the lousy thing about my situation is that while nearby exchanges are all setup for fiber, BT in their infinite wisdom have decided to put back the fiber upgrade until December next year! Honestly, another half a kilometer away, and fiber is there for the taking, right now!
I sympathize with any poor bugger living on the Isle of Dogs, where the broadband speeds outside of the investment banks in the area is appalling. One more thing to get mad at the bankers for!
It’s a crazy situation where one of the major considerations of buying or renting a place to live is dependent on the quality of internet service…
I live in Canary Wharf and have broadband via the Poplar exchange. If anyone else lives around here they know what a nightmare it is to get decent speeds since the exchange is completely maxed out. They’ve recently added BT Infinity, but it’s not being rolled out to tall apartment blocks because they usually have their own cabinets (which are low on BTs list). It’s so close, yet so far! Kat, I’m definitely going to pop by the O2 when you have your party to say hi. If I can get starred by then all the better to help my chances in getting my hands on one of those tantalising dongles… (hmm, does that sound off to anyone else?)
I might have some good news for you there. I live in one of the tall buildings in Canary Wharf WIQ and we have been talking to BT Openreach to wire our building for BT Infinity for 6 months. They had a board meeting 3 weeks ago and the plan to wire all high rise buildings in Canary Wharf was approved. They will provide 80Mbps FTTH connections starting with Hertsmere Road. Of course it will take a few months but at least it’s coming… Will probably be ready once the O2 trial is finished just in time
So all we need is a star now
Thanks for the info – that sounds fabulous. Any news on the rollout plans by street or tower?
Don’t really know any more details than that but I can let you know if I find out more. Not sure if we can connect here though but you can find me on fb under the same username.
Shameless request for entry into the trial, I consider myself extreamly lucky to be one of the UK’s first ADSL trialists in the mid 90′s, i’m desperate for the same from LTE. If my O2 mobile data usage is anything to go by, O2 would certainly get a great some great usage stats out of me. Please O2, get in touch.
C’com people, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE like me. Press lthe ‘like’ button below, don’t be mean. Please!
Hang about, there are enough of us here wanting to be stared. If we each like each others comments, we’ll all be stared in seconds.
Kat, any rules against this?
ha i like the sound of that. We can help each other until the time comes when the names get announced…
Karma’s a bitch – like me now or you will pay
*like*
I just like all of you so much +1 for all of you
Now how about some lovin back?
Right back at ya
Ah, just think. In less than 10 years time, we will have kids wondering how people in 2012 with really slow 4G connections? Ah, I wish I had the brains to build a time machine!
I meant how people in 2012 dealt with slow 4G connections. Hooray, I’m in Westminster!
Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are.
Up above the 25-4G-masts-erected-by-O2-in-an-area-of-40-square-kilometres so high, like a diamond in the sky.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are…
I’ll pay little to no money if someone gives me a star. It took me 4 hours writing that line…
ahhh I’m a bugger for nursery rhymes (and haikus apparently *see above*
Have fun at the party on my behalf. *star*
Bless you sir, it is my wish that you receive a (metaphorical) star of you own, never stop chasing your dreams, reach for the stars, climb every mountain higher. Reach for the stars, follow your heart’s desire, reach for the stars, and when that rainbow’s shining over you, that’s when your dreams will all come true.
hmm my star won’t stay *confused*
great now it has *wishes upon it for the delete button*
How’s this for a haiku?
If only a star
Would find its way to me soon
4G could be mine
This is a welcome step in the right (and promising) direction on behalf of O2 and all those involved like Gizmodo UK as far as 4G arrival in the UK is concerned. It used to make me feel almost embarrassed to think that we live in a 21st century society, yet lag behind the likes of South Korea and Germany when it comes to mobile technologies.
Not only arrival of 4G, though at trial stage yet, will make internet access and speeds come in line with the needs of a modern society and business world, but also moderate craze for smart phone mania. Surely, mobile broadband under 4G specs will provide much-expected relief for those of us who rely on writing through larger keyboards without smart phone or touch pad limitations, and give a new lifeline to netbook technologies.I can’t wait…
This couldn’t come at a better time for me. I’m a postgrad UCL student, about 10min walk from Kings Cross. Some of the other hall mates and I have been working on a start-up idea for the past 7 months and the one thing thats holding us back more than anything is our internet connection. Our ISP is Keycom and the connection is terrible. Flakey and maximum speed we get during non peak hours is around 1mbit and 0.8 during peak hours (Supposedly on a 2mbit line). While not being able to stream videos or listen to music is a killer, but our biggest pain is having to completely take skype of the table… So I guess i’m gonna keep my eyes pealed on this one
Having played with Verizon and Metro PCS’s LTE in the US, I am delighted O2 are trialling LTE. Its excellent they didn’t roll out fake $G (Sprint’s Wi-Max, T-Mobile US’s 4G for example). I know its a very early shout, but I hope they have an eye on LTE Advanced which they are discussing in the States.
I have also played around with A1′s LTE in Austria – impressive stuff. LTE is certainly going to transform the way we use data on the move, and I’m keen for sure to help out with this trial (as I’m sure so many of us are).
I hope network connections are robust – as dropped connections were certainly an issue with Verizon (using an HTC Thurderbolt). It’d be interesting to see what the real time speeds and latency would be – especially with so few people connected to the network.
Well done 02!
I’d love to be apart of this, the amount of discussion surrounding it is just to persuasive! I live in central London (by Chancery Lane) and my housemate is O2 employee and equally as much of a nerd as myself. Very many congratulations to Gizmodo UK for getting the partnership, should be great news for all!
I work in central London and can’t even make a call half the time, much less do anything with data – would be great to try this! I’m currently on holiday in the USA visiting my parents and the mobile service over here is actually a service – a revelation!
I live near the temple tube station and cant get speeds of more than 6 mbps! I reaaaaaally need this!!
Screw the 4G, I’m going to the party to chat up Kat.
Ha!
Looks like my earlier comment got lost so I will repost it here
Need to get the star before the entry into the trial
I can actually see the O2 from my window so how about I throw an afterparty for all you awesome people?
3 conditions:
1. I really need that star
2. Would be good if I am actually at the party
3. Not essential but you need to know how to swim if we miss the last tube
Free booze and all will be provided
i live on a canal boat and rely on 3g heavily. i would love to be able to download films and whatnot to keep me entertained on the long cold winter nights
p.s. did i mention i love booze!
oh and p.p.s. its not all porn!
I work right next door to Tottenham Court Road tube station – this would enrich my life!
By my count, there are 8 stared commenters all looking to bag one of (up to) 30 trialist places. Coincidentally I now have 8 likes, How about someone donate me twinkly little star? – at least a few more likes, I’ll gladly reciprocate
This is music to my ears, I have always wanted to get my dongle upgraded.
I live in London and have been an O2 customer for 10 years, so would love to give this a trial. My girlfriend will be pleased.
By the look of that map, I work right in one of the dark blue areas. Drool, yes, please!
Any news on when the party details are going to be announced? Would really love to try this out…
ah no fair, i was starred on the us site. also I’m a poor poor student who’s campus is literally next to the national gallery. also university internet is affecting my .. er.. studies. DONGLE would be GREAT. alas it appears i don’t qualify.
Hi Kat, would love to go to this party and be included in the trials.
