There’s a reason old hardware doesn’t get new software upgrades. Like the iPhone 3G’s iOS 4 update, this unofficial Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Android phone that started it all, is, well… crippling.
Still, it just goes to show what’s possible when developers put their heads together. Where I couldn’t stand to use anything that unbelievable slow, I tip my hat to them in admiration for their perseverance. [XDA Developers via Engadget]

Cool but ultimately useless, like getting angry birds running on an e-ink device (which has also been done) hats of to the devs for even getting this running.
hmm…Runs about just as fast as any other Android device. Nothing to see here. Move along.
Hi tokey, haven’t seen you around lately. Are you going to the O2 Bash?
Pffft…Nobody took the bait :/ trollfail
Aye Jonesy! I’m on ‘holiday’ at the moment in WA, hence my lackluster commenting presence. But back in the Big Smoke this weekend. Will be good to put some names to faces.
WA = Western Australia? Washington? The Women’s Axillary?
Which is it?
Hey, you mentioned Perth a few days ago, but I assumed you meant Perth, UK. But if it’s Perth Western Australia, that’s my hometown! Have a Little Creatures cider for me, please.
You could Pop round and see Mr and Mrs Hannaford and get them to show you all Kat’s embarrassing baby pictures
Perth, Western Australia indeed. 1 week in Lancelin. This last in Fremantle.
Kat, is Pipsqueak cider the same as little creatures? Went to the OBH and they looked at me quite strange when i asked for a Little Creature
Awesome place the OBH!
Ah yes, Little Creatures’ Pipsqueak cider http://pipsqueakcider.com.au/#intro some very tasty stuff. I look forward to hearing about your trip at the Giz party!
And the OBH; that brings back memories. Love the Cottesloe area!
