Chalk another one up to the cyber cops of Scotland Yard -- they've arrested a 16-year-old who attempted to instigate a DDoS attack on the Royal Wedding back in April, which had to be fended off by the rozzers.
The 16-year-old criminal mastermind is out on bail pending further investigation. Detective Superintendent Charlie McMurdie, who made the statements at a cybercrime conference in London, and her crew will no doubt be thumbing their way through the teenager's computer equipment and logs as we speak. Of all the things to attempt to bring down, the Royal Wedding wouldn't be high on my priority list, but then again I'm no longer a 16-year-old, sadly. [AP via The Register]
