As we promised, we're throwing a party to celebrate our launch, and any reader of this wondrous site is invited! Circle Wednesday 7th December in your My Little Pony filofax, and get ready for a night of free drinks; competitions and of course, 4G dongle giveaways thanks to O2.
It'll be the best way to get your hands on a super-fast 4G dongle trial, years before the service is rolled out to every man and his dog. If you don't happen to be one of the chosen few to join our Giz UK/O2 readers' trial (which will also include monthly meetups), the fact that 4G demos will be available all night should bring a rosy glow to your cheeks (as will the promise of free drinks.)
All the stats, below. Look forward to seeing you there!
When: Wednesday 7th December, from 6pm.
Where: O2 VIP Lounge bar at The O2, North Greenwich, London (just 10 minutes from London Bridge, and 20 minutes from Bond Street.)
RSVP: To get your name on the guest-list (people whose names aren't on the guest-list will not be permitted entry), please add a comment to this post, stating you would like to come. Venue capacity is 150, so first come, first served -- meaning, the earlier you rock up to the party, the better. It doesn't matter when you RSVP on this post. You must be 18+ to attend, as the venue is a bar.
4G dongle trial: When RSVPing in our comments field, please also state whether you would like to be considered for our 4G dongle trial. Naturally, you must either live or work in central London or the docklands (see O2's 4G coverage map here) to take part. Starred commenters will be given priority.
How to raise your chances: The best possible way to ensure your place on the Giz UK/O2 readers' trial is to earn a starred commenting account on our site. To do so, comment to the best of your ability across the site, and hope that you gather 20 "likes" to your name. Or, write the most amazing, insightful comment you can, and one of the starred commenters may generously award you with an automatic star. For more details on how to comment (and add an avatar), read this.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them via the comments below, or pop me an email. We look forward to seeing you there!
UPDATED: As we've had over 300 RSVPs to the party, I'm afraid we won't be able to accept any more. Apologies to those who missed out, but don't go crying into your pillows tonight -- we'll be holding many more readers' meet-ups in the future.
