The PM is set to receive his own totally custom iPad app, which will let him see up-to-the-minute reports of critical UK data. And play games and go on Twitter when those EU meetings get a bit boring.

According to the Telegraph, software engineers within Whitehall are working on an app that will combine a custom set of news feeds with a bespoke confidential report on the health of the nation, with Cameron’s iPad app able to feed him the latest NHS waiting list times and crime stats, also letting poor Dave watch the unemployment figures trundle upwards, live.

The cabinet office team is expected to have Cameron’s app ready for service by March. [Telegraph]
