Star Wars and Star Trek very probably have the most rabid fans known to geekdom. But they're constantly trying to one-up each other. What's better! Who's more awesome! Even the stars—William Shatner and Carrie Fisher—have gotten into it with each other. STOP IT. NO MORE. There's a bigger enemy out there: Twilight.
George Takei made a hilarious video encouraging fans of each franchise to put away the bad blood and competition between Star Wars/Trek and unite against a common enemy: those dreadful sparkly vampire teeny bopper movies that are ruining everything and killing taste in humanity. He sums it up best here:
"Sci-fi fans be warned, there are no great stories, characters or profound life lessons to be found in Twilight... In Twilight, the only message that rings through loud and clear is: 'Does my boyfriend like me?'"
