I think it would be quite interesting to extend that concept to other brands of shoes with quite recognisable soles. Not as much into Vans as I was when I was 17 so other styles could look good.
Considering the back is going to be rubbery, it will be a nightmare to put in and remove from pockets. It will “stick” to jeans pockets, trouser pockets, jacket nylon-lined pockets, etc.
