Microsoft has launched My Xbox Live for iOS, giving Apple users the power to play with and access their Xbox Live accounts through phones and tablets.
It's basically a simplified collection of a few Xbox Live options as found within the console's ever-changing dashboard, which supports lists of your Achievements, lets you compare stats with those on your Friends list and have literally several minutes of fun creating your Xbox Live Avatar by dressing up a pretend person in pretend trousers and hats.
Plus there's gaming news via Microsoft's official Spotlight channels. And while Microsoft has also released its Xbox Companion for Windows Phone this week, there's no sign of either app on Android. Serious business, this mobile OS war. [iTunes]
