Samsung’s excellent Galaxy S II has been on the Android 4.0 update list for some time, now Samsung has confirmed a rough date for it. The S II will see an upgrade to Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich OS in the “first quarter of 2012.”
As well as the S II, Samsung also confirmed that its enormous Galaxy Note will get a 4.0 update at around the same time, plus its new tablet range will also get themselves upgraded, with the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus all on the ICS update schedule.
Sadly there’s no mention of the original Galaxy Tab, through, so it would appear Samsung’s first attempt in the tablet market has been dumped after just over a year on sale. [Samsung]

Woohoo, Can’t wait to get this up and running on my SGS2!
First quarter, yeah thanks I’ll just have cm9, that way i wont have to deal with all the crap bloatware sammi put on my sgs2.
Samsung are geniuses with their firmware leaks. They get lots of people testing their firmware at their own risk/expense.
