According to Ofcom, TalkTalk is our worst ISP with the largest number of complaints over the past year, hitting an average of well over two in every 3000 customers having to complain to Ofcom about their broadband service over the last year.
To complain to Ofcom you have to be pretty pissed about the crappy service you're getting -- I doubt most of us would bother unless we were really, really cheesed off. So, 0.81 customers per thousand is quite a lot of annoyed people. TalkTalk did show a reduction in complaints within the quarter just gone, down to just 0.55 per thousand, but that still put it in first place for hate. BT and Orange followed up with 0.5 and 0.44 complaints per thousand, so they don't exactly deserve a gold star either.
Considering broadband is pretty integral to our daily lives, getting yourself a decent ISP with good speeds, and that will actually come and fix it fast if your line goes down, is imperative. Maybe steer clear of TalkTalk if you want a trouble free service. [BBC]
