A future update to Virgin Media's TiVo software will add in support for the BBC's enhanced "Red Button" features, allowing Virgin subscribers to fiddle with the corporation's multi-screen feeds of major sporting events.
Virgin and the BBC plan to introduce a new "enhanced" BBC Sports app within TiVo, which will grant access to the many simultaneously broadcast feeds the BBC puts out during big events through the Red Button system. The parts of next year's Formula 1 the BBC is showing, Wimbledon, Euro 2012 and the London 2012 Olympics are the big deals Virgin customers will be able to play with, once the app goes live.
There's no particular launch date given for the update, just a vague "2012." [Virgin Media]
