Rumours of a slimmer, more capable sibling to Acer’s A200 tablet have been floating around for a while. But all Acer had to reveal at their press conference today was that the still unnamed tablet would have a full 1080P display, and will be powered by a quadcore processor.
The next generation Iconia tablet has long been rumoured to feature a mind-boggling 1920×1200 resolution 10.1 inch display. And while we were hoping to have confirmation that it would have an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor inside, a rumoured 5MP camera with flash, and a microUSB and microHDMI port, it seems the new Iconia clearly needs a little more time in the oven if they’re not revealing anything more at the show. Lets hope it’s better then their current tablet which is pretty rubbish, it stutters when streaming videos on youtube and watching videos stored on the device itself.
I would love to see amazing deals such as trade in your last gen Tegra device and get a new Tegra 3 device for £100 or something like that but that’s not gonna happen
That kind of resolution is pretty spectacular. Just a touch redundant but still something unique so far as long as it doesn’t cost too much more it will probably do well. Would have been better if it had a full size USB but still microUSB,HDMI ports are pretty good to have.
One thing I really hope they spend some time on is customising android to the device. So many problems individual devices have using android come from being poorly optimised for the devices. Sure modders usually have it fixed in a few weeks but things like that shouldn’t be down to the community to fix.
Totally called this – Higher resolution tegra 3 tablets are going to be the order of the day at CES this year and that’s why I was waiting rather than buying a transformer prime
