Pure’s subscription-based music service has launched. If you don’t like the idea of paying £4.99 a month for access to “millions” of songs, there’s currently a free one-month trial on offer to ease the transition to cloud-based music. Oddly, though, the company says offline caching for mobile devices will be available soon “for an additional monthly fee.” [Pure]
Spotify has offline streaming for my phone and iTouch, I can stream it through my Logitech Squeezebox and control the Squeezebox using iPeng. I also have it running on 3 computers. It’s 9.99 a month and has a library so big, shaking a stick at it would be a challenge.
Pure will have to go some way to get me to consider it. Firstly, the Pure Sensia Radio, is a bag of spanners.
