Lenovo's Revamped X1 Hybrid Boots Up Faster, Stays On Longer

Remember the Lenovo X1? Well the X1 Hybrid is pretty much the same machine, but slightly refreshed with a new, low power instant-on mode that doubles the battery life as you surf the web and watch/listen/look at all your mulitmedia files.

The battery-friendly Instant Media Mode makes use of a low-power Qualcomm dual-core processor, and the X1 hybrid is capable of recharging itself to 80 per cent in under 30 minutes. Other than that, it still has the same Core i7 processor, the same composite shell and the same Gorilla Glass screen. UK pricing's not confirmed as yet, but our friends in the US tell us it'll start at $1600 (£1,025). [Lenovo]
