This is hardly surprising given that Microsoft rather shockingly bought Skype last year, but here's official confirmation -- Windows Phone users will soon have full Skype access through their mobiles.
The news comes via Microsoft's vice president of products Rick Osterloh, who said Microsoft is currently: "...working on a Windows Phone product that will be coming out soon" for those who are missing having Skype on their WP handsets.
It'll have quite some way to go in order to catch up with the Android version of the app, which has been out for well over a year and includes all sorts of fancy hardware optimisations. Which is no doubt quite a source of internal embarrassment for Skype's new owners. [Slashgear]
