Samsung Sticks a Dual-Core Processor into its Galaxy S

This is the new Samsung Galaxy S Advance, the latest in a long line of gradual tweaks and upgrades Samsung's been making to its incredibly popular Android model. The new Galaxy S now comes with a 1GHz dual-core processor, front-facing camera and the same Super AMOLED display.

It's also the same size as the original Galaxy S, offering a 4" screen running at 480x800 resolution, although the slightly sad news is that Android 2.3 will be the phone's OS when it launches in Europe some time after February. Samsung's obviously decided it's best to save the big Android 4.0 headlines for its larger and more prestigious models. [Samsung]
