NASA’s produced some of the most incredible images I’ve ever seen. From distant colourful nebulae to incredible shots of the curvature of the Earth -- they truly are out of this world. Now it’s released an astounding array of truly breath-taking images from the 1960’s Project Gemini, some of NASA’s most crucial steps on the way to the Apollo missions and the moon.
The digitally restored vintage photos are available in raw, exquisite detail and are worth a good look through. It’s incredible to think that men were in space in 1965, a whole 20 years before I was born. It truly was a brave new world then. They hadn’t even sent a computer up into space until Gemini took to orbit -- how did astronauts check-in from space?
