Virgin is about to tweak its broadband prices, to more accurately reflect the changes brought about by its surprisingly generous doubling of everyone's maximum connection speeds.
According to Think Broadband, those on 100Mb connections who are due an upgrade to 120Mb will also see a small price reduction, meaning they will pay the same as those currently on 50Mb lines. Because current 50MB subscribers pay less and are also getting upgraded to 120Mb, and it wouldn't be fair otherwise.
It may also be a phased update for 50Mb users, with an initial boost to 100MB followed by an extra kick up to 120Mb when the power-users get their upgrades. This should all start to kick in this April. [Think Broadband]
