If you’re a fan of the silly hijinks of Jackass, you have to watch this upcoming Nitro Circus movie. Nitro Circus is the super crazy extreme group headlined by motocross legend Travis Pastrana and his friends that pull stunts that even Knoxville and gang wouldn’t even dare of doing.
It’s a more athletic Jackass! More insane insane people! Crazier cray crays! The stunts are more extreme and life threatening (as opposed to grossout and life threatening) and I love watching them do their thing. I don’t know if I would want to live like them but they sure know how to enjoy the hell out of life.

It used to be on MTV, but I haven’t seen it for a while (though it might still be).
You used to be able to watch every episode from the two series they made for MTV on their website, but all I can find now is their Vimeo page with 3 episodes on (1 normal 20 min episode, and 2 one-hour long episodes).

Extreme Sports Channel (419 on Sky) shows it. Pretty decent watch.
I came ready to post something like “Yawn, jackass wannabe’s…”
but this actually looks hilarious.
Nitro Circus have made some films before this on a smaller budget, but they’re more Sports Films.
@T@F, I don’t know if NC has aired on UK TV, possibly on the MTv channels, as it’s one of their shows. There’s plenty of places where you can download seasons 1+2. They have said that the stuff in the TV series has all lead to and inspired the film.
Must admit I’d not heard of them before, but having seen this trailer, I’m definitely going to check the movie out now.
A lot of the er.. ‘crew’, were huge in the action sports world before NC.
NC are actually opening their own action sports resort. That’d make for an interesting follow up article.
Admittedly I’m not entirely sure what an Nitro Circus ‘action sports resort’ would be, but it sounds like a) a huge liability and b) an awesome idea.
I need someone to explain why?
Is this what qualifies as entertainment these days? I thought Jackass helped us to satisfy that need. I remember the days when MTV gave us Buggles and Human League videos – Yeah, it was shit then too.
