The electronics retailing group DSGi, which runs Dixons, PC World and Currys, is apparently getting into the UK video streaming game with its new service called Knowhow Movies.
It’ll feature a “huge range” of both TV episodes and movies, but from whom we don’t know. All other details are thin on the ground too – apparently it’ll launch in early 2012, so surely we should know just a tad more pretty soon.
Movies from Currys – do you want a gold-plated £100 HDMI cable with that? [Knowhow Movies via The Verge]
Thanks Darrell!

Knowhow movies…. what an absolutely ridiculous brand name.
Knowhow is their delivery, installation and support service. I’m guessing they couldn’t find a good name that would work across the whole group so fell back on something they already owned.
Knowhow – probably the most ironic branding since BestBuy UK.
So totally true.
