According to reports by Crackberry, these are leaked media shots of an upcoming RIM smartphone, potentially the rumored next-generation BlackBerry 10, dubbed the Superphone. Details are of course very slim at this time but, all in all, it’s a pretty sleek looking phone. Check out Slashgear for further speculation.

“Now with added SurePress”…
Didn’t the new CEO at RIM say that all Android phones look alike? Well this sure looks a lot like any number of Android (and WP7) phones.
I think they are not just resorting to the ‘If it works – copy it’ mentality.
Sigh, I got really tired of all the RIM bashing over the past few years because before getting my iPhone I had three blackberries, and was one of their biggest advocates. Why? They keyboard. If anyone says that they type better on an iPhone than a blackberry bold they’re either lying or haven’t used one.
So why put all your eggs in this basket? RIMs exceedingly good at making keyboards. My sister is rather hanging on to her crappy blackberry curve instead of getting a touchscreen phone because she messages all day on that fantastic keyboard. If RIM doesn’t bring a keyboard phone alongside this one, they will lose nearly all of their userbase.
Looks good, bit this is the kind of thing they should have released instead of their first touchscreen phone (Torch? I forget the name). Could be too late to the game…
Also, what’s a superphone? Will ultraphones be next? *sigh*
Megaphones™
Slightly dull. Definitely three years late.
RIM will be sold within the year.
