Another day, another iPad 3 rumour; this time its back shell has apparently flashed its inners to the camera. If the component is genuine it points to a larger battery; a bigger camera, and a different LCD screen from the iPad 2.
Does this point to the Retina Display iPad 3 we’ve heard rumours about? Considering the power requirements demanded to pump out the crazy number of pixels a Retina Display the size of the iPad would require -- it’s pretty likely we’ll see a larger, higher capacity battery to maintain that 10 hour battery life we’re used to on the iPad.
According to 9to5Mac, there seems to be quite a few of these back shells floating around, which it's put down to the iPad 3 being in full production. If that’s really the case, and consider this still just rumour, that could indicate we’ll see an iPad 3 launch relatively soon.
An iPad 3 with Retina Display and more power, but still with that 10 hour battery life – that would be a sorely tempting upgrade. I might have another £400 hole in my wallet if Apple really comes through on this. [9to5Mac]
