This Android power race is getting rather absurd, with even budget smartphone specialist ZTE announcing plans to launch a quad-core Android 4.0 powerhouse during the second half of 2012.
The phone is the ZTE Era, which ZTE says is powered by Nvidia's popular quad-core Tegra 3 chipset, which has been paired with a 4.3" display running at the qHD resolution of 960x540. It'll arrive running a version of Android 4.0, with 8GB of internal storage space and an SD card slot for expansion.
ZTE says the Era's chassis is just 7.8mm thick, so it ought to be a surprisingly stylish contender from the maker of the likes of the legendary Orange San Francisco. [ZTE]
