Suspicious Lack of Buttons in Leaked LG Optimus 3D 2 Image

Right behind the Moto Medfield leak we now have something substantially less exciting from LG, in the form of an image which allegedly shows the company's Optimus 3D 2.

We say allegedly, as the image of the updated glasses-free 3D phone looks a little odd. Aside from not having any physical buttons or capacitive buttons, there doesn't appear to even be any software buttons shown on this image, as you might expect from a phone that ought to arrive running Android 4.0.

So unless LG's made it entirely voice controlled or got it hooked up to our brainwaves, there's something not quite believable about the image.

But the tech specs that emerged alongside the pic seem more genuine. It's claimed that the Optimus 3D 2 manages to slim down the original's bulky body to a relatively slimline 9.8mm, also taking 20g off the weight of the original. That would at least make the phone a little more appealing in comparison to the enormous, clunky original.

We'll have to wait until Mobile World Congress at the end of February for confirmation, plus the all-important processor and power stats of LG's latest. [ETNews via Slashgear]
