Captain Schettino or not, I hate cruises. Being trapped in a giant floating building with three thousand people and a buffet is my idea of bloody hell. But I would love to go across the river Amazon on the ship above.
It’s called Aria, the twin sister to Aqua, two luxury cruise liners owned by a company called Aqua Expeditions. It looks weird and wacky, yet strangely beautiful.
Of course, other than enjoying the ship itself, you also stop along the way to explore all the different river habitats and say hi to the pythons and the yacares. I want to do this with my own Katherine Hepburn (I know, the Amazon is not in Africa. Stop saying words). [Aqua Expeditions via Fancy]

I’d live in this boat. It’s beautiful.
The life ring buoys are really badly shopped on that first image, it looks like a child has put them on using paint, cut & paste.
Oh and btw I have no idea what the rings are called so if anyone can let me know that would be great.
It’s called a life preserver or lifebuoy.
Thanks Sam. “Life preserver” is an hilariously ambiguous name! You could give that to thousands of everyday objects…
“Darling could you pass my life preserver I’m cycling to work today”
“If you crash the vehicle, the life preservers will inflate automatically”
“It was a huge creature from the depths of hell, I took a deep breath and saw my life flash before my eyes. I thought it was the end…luckily I had my life preserver to hand and everything turned out just fine!”.
Brilliant – this phrase is entering my daily vocabulary.
