Viz Magazine's Fat Slags Make it Past Apple's Censors

By Gary Cutlack on at

Dennis Publishing has launched an iPhone app its calling the Viz Strip Teaser, which has been designed to let users view sections of issues "in a format fully optimised for your phone."

Given the profanity-packed and shag-happy nature of an average issue of Viz, it's quite amazing that Apple's collection of content-approving nuns have let this one through at all. You are warned, though, as the iTunes list of themes the app contains includes the following enticing adult scenarios:

- Frequent/Intense Profanity or Crude Humour
- Infrequent/Mild Horror/Fear Themes
- Frequent/Intense Mature/Suggestive Themes
- Infrequent/Mild Simulated Gambling
- Frequent/Intense Cartoon or Fantasy Violence
- Frequent/Intense Sexual Content or Nudity
- Infrequent/Mild Alcohol, Tobacco, Drug Use or References to these

And that's just in one page of The Fat Slags. [iTunes via Apps Rush]
