Anonymous has released its own operating system, full-to-the-brim with hacking tools. It’s based on Ubuntu, but would you trust an OS from a hacking group? Surely that’s just going to instantly turn you into a botnet drone?
Linux is a hacker’s best friend apparently, but it’s not Ubuntu on top – it runs the MATE desktop environment. It does come with everything you’d need to crack passwords; probe a few vulnerabilities, and simulate DoS attacks though – every script-kiddy’s dream. Anonymous is quick to point out that this is for “educational purposes only”, that old chestnut. Probably words worth heeding though; it’s been pretty dangerous of late to be associated with Anonymous.
Considering Anonymous snuck a Trojan into its own software recently, I wouldn’t touch this with a barge pole. Still, it’s interesting to see Anonymous set-up shop like this, even if I wouldn’t recommend downloading it. [Anonymous via LifeHacker]

Personally, I would say that nobody that couldn’t create their own custom build of Linux with all the necessary hacking tools should be a member of Anonymous anyway.
Saw this pop up on /g/ a few days ago, seems to be fairly secure.
I don’t understand why they didn’t call it AnonymOS.
I see what you did there ;>
Will this run on the Pi!?
Unlikely, Ubuntu can’t support the ARM chipset used in the Pi. But if you really want a Linux distro with these sorts of tools, then there’s always the Fedora Security Labs spin. Of course, this requires the script kiddies in actually thinking of how to use the included tools and you don’t get the ‘kewl’ desktop background.
as nenslo says this distro wouldn’t run but there would be nothing to stop someone from compiling the applications from source using the arm toolchain (assuming it hasn’t already been done). I suspect Mikje may know more on this than me.
This was not released by Anonymous according to them: http://www.bgr.com/2012/03/15/anonymous-os-is-fake-and-packed-with-malware-hacker-group-says/
