IPlayer Catching Up With Xbox 360 Next Week?

By Gary Cutlack on at

Microsoft's about to get closer to offering the full set of catch-up TV services on Xbox 360, with rumours suggesting a version of the BBC's iPlayer will appear on the console next week.

Microsoft already has catch-up apps from Channel 4 and Channel 5, with an ITV Player set to launch some time this year. Sources speaking to Eurogamer claim the Xbox 360 iPlayer app will arrive next week, with the tool free to access for both Gold and Silver Xbox Live subscribers. So there shouldn't be any question of Microsoft leveraging BBC content to make itself more money. [Eurogamer]
