Put your Apple Kremlinology hat on, folks, and look at the colourful logo on the right of this image. That was the logo that Apple used today to close their presentation, which they usually close with their metal logo.
Is this Apple’s new logo? I hope so!
I hope so because:
I love the rainbow.
I LOVE DOUBLE RAINBOWS.
I love unicorns too, their ribeyes and tenderloins specially, rare.
I used to love the old Apple logo and this is like, you know, a modern version.
It looks like Apple’s colour picker.

Seriously, it’s nice. It gets me back to my old Mac years, when all of you didn’t know what the hell Apple was. You probably weren’t even born back then. Whatever. It’s just nice to look at.

Looks a bit like the windows logo smushed within the Apple logo? Maybe there’s a little bit of subliminal messaging going on here.
I like it, it’s bright colourful and bold. What’s not to like. And it’s nothing to do with apple using colour as the window logo does, after all apple has used color on it logo before.
Yeah, I have no idea how it resembles windows at all like some have said :S

Not that hard to see really, it’s not an exact copy but does feel you could place a Apple logo over the middle of the windows icon and have a very similar colour layout.
I’d argue it looks more like putting an apple logo over this:

But, seriously, it’s just using all the colours of the original apple logo in a new way.
Totally agree with it throwing back to their old logo, I can just also see where people are coming from with the Windows colours comments too. Still I don’t think it will be the new logo, not when it comes to Advertising or on products at least, doesn’t work with the overall Apple “style”
Unless microsoft patented half of the rainbow, I struggle to see any similarity.
Infact I’d say that the google icon looks more close to microsofts, and thats pushing it, With just being rotated and having the same colour layout with a g being ontop.

After reading yet more pointless drivel from Mr. Diaz and the earlier personal attack on the guy behind Lulzsec I think I’ll be taking a break from this site. I remember why I left Giz US now…
If you don’t like Mr Diaz’s Posts (and you aren’t alone in that) just don’t read his posts (you won’t be alone in that either) no point leaving the only decent UK tech site because you dislike one of the writers.
I don’t get why people get so hung up on little things… its a slightly humorous article about apples’ possible logo change, nothing more nothing less…
I hope it’s not their new logo, I don’t think it fits in with Apple’s new image.
Oh I don’t know, it is a slight ‘improvement’ on something they did a while ago & it looks very similar to other peoples’ logo’s but Apple are passing it off as an entirely new creation….
