They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but RIM’s new BlackBerry Mini Keyboard looks more like a crappy Chinese iPad-keyboard case than Asus Transformer-eque; copied in idea-only then. Still, it does turn the PlayBook into a mini-laptop of sorts, especially when coupled with Citrix receiver, which will shove a window to Windows onto your RIM tablet.
The Mini Keyboard hooks-up via 128-bit encrypted Bluetooth to your tablet and will hold it at an angle for laptop-style usage. Like iPad keyboard cases, I’m not sure a PlayBook equipped with a keyboard will really match up to a small laptop, but it’s got a trackpad built-in, which sets it apart from the rest. If you’ve already got the BlackBerry tablet this £80 add-on might make it a tad more useful, maybe. It’ll ship on the 23rd of March, but you can pre-order it right now to avoid disappointment. Necrophile RIM Promises to Keep Flash Alive on PlayBook for Some Reason
But it’s RIM…
There is a similar one for the Xoom but sadly it’s only available in the USA
These should be standard accessories for all tablets imho,
Apps. I hate that word. Since when were windows *APPLICATIONS* described as apps? Last time I checked, apps referred to smartphones, and tablets, and nothing else.

time is money, and “apps” is three syllables cheaper
Ten or more years ago when I was in IT and did a bit of programming we called small windows programs apps, it was a convenient abbreviation. As posh_somme said.
