Sky Upgrades Anytime+ PAYG Bundle to Battle Rival Streaming Services

By Gary Cutlack on at

Sky has today announced a big update of its Anytime+ movies on-demand package, which should see many more films available for rent, online, on the day of their DVD or Blu-ray release.

The update coincides with the launch of a new Sky Store area to manage your on-demand viewing through, with Sky claiming that "over a thousand" titles will soon be available for instant rental. The list comprises of classic old titles and new releases, with a few available for only 99p, should you need something cheap to see how it all works with your set-up.

By Easter, Sky says Anytime+ will be available to all Sky+HD homes with a broadband connection or through a PC -- and you won't need a Sky broadband account, either. [Sky]
