One of the many charitable events for this year’s Sport Relief has been announced by BT, which is getting in a host of celebs to re-record the famous Speaking Clock.
The idea being that BT will then donate 10p to the charity for every call made to the Speaking Clock between Wednesday March 7th and Monday April 9th, which should result in a big windfall for Sport Relief from the Met Police alone.
The other famous people roped in to voice the automated national treasure of a timepiece include the omnipresent Fearne Cotton and radio loudmouth Chris Moyles. Just imagine the wackiness that’ll be emerging from these studio sessions. [BT]

Is there a full list of who will be doing the time each day. I’d rather not have to hear Moyles’ voice, even if it is for charity. In fact I would happily donate a large sum of money for Chris Moyles to shut up for an extended period.
Why, have you been racking up charges on the talking clock Darrell?
