A group of 850 mattress-equipped people have set a new world record for the human-attached mattress domino effect. The New Orleans-based stunt took a full nine-minutes for all the dominos to topple, but beat out the previous record holders in Spain with just 526 bedders.
After a thorough victory bouncing-on, all the mattresses used we then donated to charity. Getting a world record for 850 dominoed people is pretty impressive, but it’s not a patch on the record set for human dominos without mattresses – that was claimed by China with a colossal 10,267 people. I find quite a lot of American commentators irritating — but it’s not really their fault I guess.
I think it’s how they make them over there, speaking of which, can’t help noticing the number of highly rotund bodies in this domino chain.

It was less exciting than I had hoped though. In-fact, it was pretty disappointing. They weren’t even really dominoes, they just kinda leaned back deliberately…
