Here’s another alleged Samsung Galaxy S III image that’s doing the rounds today. Supposedly attached to an invite to a launch event, the image shows a phone that’s, well, silver. Silver and with no obvious buttons.
We doubt Samsung has gone mad enough to launch something that strays this far from today’s accepted smartphone design ethic, but you never know. Perhaps the world is ready to ditch the black plastic regime?
And if this was an invite to a launch event, it’d have to contain rather more specific details about the venue than just “London”. We therefore give this image a 3/10 likelihood of being anything other than a second year design student’s go at tricking the internet. [Phandroid]

“We doubt Samsung has gone mad enough to launch something that strays this far from today’s accepted smartphone design ethic” maybe they are sick of Apple taking them to court under the mistaken belief that you can patent the rectangle
I agree though, don’t think this is real.
I love how it says “London, United Kingdom”.. I’m glad they cleared that up.. I was about to book my plane tickets to London, Ontario..
or
London, Kiribati
London, Arkansas
London, California
London, Kentucky
London, Minnesota
London, Ohio
London, Texas
London, West Virginia
London, Wisconsin
You’d think that if this is an official Samsung invitation, they would at least be able to get the spacing of the III correct and not have the 2nd and 3rd closer together than the 1st and 2nd.
Nice design though.
Frankly you’d expect this of anyone that can use photoshop or even Microsoft paint
Perhaps you get a free bar of silver with everyone bought
It is pretty good looking if if were real though..
It looks awesome, I would totally want my phone to look like that
Perhaps Samsung is deliberately making these fakes in the hope that they’ll ‘pull an Apple’. I can imagine that soon they’ll start having Apple-style keynote events. They might even go the extra mile and plant a fake prototype Galaxy S 4 in a bar.
