As much as I think Prometheus is going to take the summer blockbuster crown this year, there’s still a few fantastic looking movies incoming that could take it down a peg or two. Chris Nolan’s Dark Knight Rises is certainly one of them, and if these shots are anything to go by, it’ll be just as epic as the previous two Batman-reboot outings.
With this released on July 20th and Prometheus releasing June 1st, thankfully they’ll be plenty of time to see both. Time to get saving I reckon – those IMAX tickets aren’t cheap and this summer is shaping up to be movie magic. [EW, DGA via TotalFilm 1,2]
Still not sold on having Anne Hathaway as Catwoman
I know, me neither, but I’m willing to be surprised.
I did like her in ‘Love and Other Drugs’. Although that may have been due to her lack of clothes more than anything else..

I can’t be the only person out there who looks at Bane’s mask and just sees Goatse, right?

I’m a huge fan of the first two films, but I’m a bit worried that Nolan’s gone back on the ‘realism’ aspect he seemed keen to play on with the previous films – the Batwing (for lack of a better name) for example looks really cheesy and awful. Bane’s mask is pretty bad looking too.
I’m sure it’ll be great, but somehow I can’t get as excited for it as I did with The Dark Knight.
